The Famous Star in the Quran - Sirius
During december untill late May every year, go outside(at night) and try to find the Famous Orion's belt (3 straight stars in a row). Next, notice a bright star beneath it. Its called Sirius, the Brightest Star! It's the heart of the loyal dog of Orion[hunter]. The Dod constellation is called Canis Major.
Did you know that Sirius is mentioned in the Quran? As the brightest star, the Arabs used to worship it, later Allah corrects them by this verse...

It is interesting to note that, we...being on Earth, can see a path in the sky where all Planets move along every year. This path is called the Ecliptic.
In 2006, pluto was denounced as one of our planets, leaving to only 8 planets(mercury, venus, earth, mars, jupiter, saturn, uranus, neptune). Looking from a different perspective, we (Earthlings) can see only SEVEN planets in the sky...which directly means SEVEN ecliptic paths (or tracks). See the similarity with the Quranic verse. Why dA Moon so BiG ??
Sometime the Moon can be extraordinarily Soooooo Big. Dont be quick to conclude that its Doomsday(kiamat). Due to the elliptical orbit of the moon (not a perfect circle), these occurrence of Apogee(farthest to Earth) & Perigee(closest to Earth) is perfectly normal.the Splitting of the Moon

There are 3 types of 'cuts' (know as RILLES) on the moon's surface: sinuous, arcuate & linear rilles. NASA scientists believe they belong to ancient volcanic activities but alot other evidence of rilles still remains under research.
Muslims believe that the Moon had split during the Prophet Muhammad's time. Harun Yayha documentation provide insight that the splitting has happend, & perhaps will happen again in the near future. Missed the Whole Point
When technology increase, we see more of Allah's Creations in detailed...and we are supposed to feel a great sense of humbleness beside all the Great Creation of Allah. Allah says "was it the creation of man or the creation of heaven that is grand?" surah AnNaziat.
But the opposite happens in this modern age of thinking...when they gain powerful instruments & technology, they don’t become more humble and turn to God but instead...they become more proud, arrogant, and self conceded.

In the end, they missed the whole point of the blessing (technology) bestowed to them by Allah.

The Hidden side of the Moon
The Other side of the Moon.
Never seen by anyone alive because we only see one side of the moon.
Why...due to the synchronous rotation of the moon which lets us see only one side.
Moral of the Image: Moon has not been blessed with any atmosphere to protect it from dangerous meteors...unlike the blessed Earth for man to fulfill his duties to Allah the Creator of All.

the width(Luas) paradise is = the width of heaven & earth, which is...infinity!
Similitude for the MegaStructure
In the Quran, God uses many similitude(perumpamaan) to able man to grasp the consepts that are unimaginable or uncomprehendable...why? simply bcas we understand better by relating a difficult consept with a simple consept.So...im trying these 'similitude' to help us understand how HUGE the Megastructures in astronomy, mainly here, our Sun. (as below)...clik to enlarge.
#1 Lets say the sun's height is equivalent to the Height of our famous KLCC (klcc is an observable megastructure).
#2 Mathematically means that Earth is the Height of 4.12 meters...I cant seem to find a similitude(persamaan) with anything dats 4.12 meter in height. *a tree is actually taller than that.
#3 This level is pointless bcas, it becomes...unimaginable =) must use different similitude huhuhu
ps: next time u go to KLCC, look up to the building...very HUGE ya?

Robot Cassini kapal angkasa ambil gambar bumi dari Zuhal pada awal november 2006 lalu. Bumi nampak cam titik pada sebelah kiri atas. (di bahagian Cincin Zuhal di sebelah kiri). Zoom lagi dekat, dapatlah lihat bumi dan bulan yang amat kecil. bumi nmpk biru disebabkan pantulan kebiruan laut.Di bumi, terdapat lebih 6 billion makhluk yg berjalan dgn 2 kaki, ade otak yg paling hebat sekali, yakni manusia. salah seorang dpd 6 billion ini adalah kita.

180000 stars in such a small area
Hubble Space Telescope recently took a detailed pictured an area near the center of the Milky Way...in search for Extrasolar planets (ie, Stars that have planets like The solar sistem.)
This area was called the SWEEPS short for something not important. Its located near my zodiak(ie Saggitarius hohoho). Below is the wide field...Saggitarius looks like a teapot=)
And below is the Zooming into the Box square labelled 'SWEEPS':
The total count(approximation) of Stars in that tiny area is 180,000.

We originated from dead stars.
This explains the rough idea that we originated from stars.
When big old stars explode...its contents is blown out into space as dust and chunks of material, some are heavy radioactive metal which will decay into Ferum(Iron)...
Next, these suspended 'dust' will reunite under new gravity with other clouds of fresh fuel...Later, intense gravity will ignite the center of the whole matter into a NEW SUN.
While the heavy rocks and metals swing around this new sun, it slowly forms planets. these planets contain the exact material of DUST from early Big Stars. Its a huge cycle of natural recycling out there.
Meanwhile, everything that breath, dead or alive flesh on this earth comes from the soil. For instance, our blood contains 4 moleculs of Iron to graps oxygen. THAT EXACT IRON MOLECULS ARE FROM STARS RADIOACTIVE DECAYED MATERIAL!
The Quran was presisely correct to mention that the first man(Adam) was created from a mold of Premium Quality Dust. But from where the "Dust" originated from...wallahualam? is it from the heavens paradise soil...or from the matter contained within the Universe at that present time. God knows best.
Indeed we are in the current 1st creation(with the current physical form) , and soon to die and reborn into a 2nd creation as mention in the Quran. But the knowledge of the 2nd creation is within God's Own Infinite Wisdom. God knows best. 
The Unique Van Allen belt

- This large nickel-iron core is responsible for our large magnetic field.
- This magnetic field produces the Van-Allen radiation shield, which protects the Earth from radiation bombardment.
- If this were not present, life would not be possible on the Earth.
- The only other rocky planet to have any magnetic field is Mercury - but its field strength is 100 times less than the Earth's. Even Venus, our sister planet, has no magnetic field.

The Centre of the Worlds
Kaabah or the centre of all Muslim's direction of prayer, is also known as the centre of the world. The Tawaf, which ones circles the Kaabah in the above direction, is similar to the planetary motion that is anticlock wise.

I came across one of his books called "the cosmos(1990)"...in one of the chapters titled "The voice of the universe" he quotes a phrase of wisdom from the Quran which reads "...I am bidden to surrender myself to the Lord of the Worlds, He who created me from dust...-Quran 40:66-67)
It is a very interesting fact of the part mentioned in the Quran as "He who created me from dust" really collaborates with the logic of modern science. Its quite complicated thou, i will explain it seperately in another post. insyaAllah=)
